Three little birds
It’s the 13 January, where the number three in the date symbolises the trinity of body-mind-spirit on the one hand, while it can also refer to the division of time as the past-present-future or even it can be a reference for the Three Kings.
I strive to live more and more in balance with myself every day on each level of body-mind-spirit, by accepting the past, looking forward to the future curiously and living and enjoying the given moment in the present.
So, when I was reading about the meaning of number 3, I came across one of the quotes of Robert T. Kiyosaki:
“Three Birds are sitting on a fence. The question is:
“If two birds decide to fly away, how many birds are left?”
The answer is: Three birds are left.
The lesson is: Just because you decide to do something does not mean you will do what you decide to do.”
It made me consider how true it is. For example, on New Year’s Eve we make resolutions, promises, and let’s face the fact, most of them are never accomplished.
Here’s the million-dollar question: Why aren’t they accomplished?
Because we want to achieve too many things at the same time, we would like to see changes too soon, and mostly, there is not enough real motivation behind them.
Thus, I advise you the following:
- Make fewer vows and do everything to achieve the goals you’ve set.
- Be patient and take small steps towards your aims.
- Be grateful for minor changes and let yourself have some rest on the journey.
- “Slow and steady wins the race” – as the saying goes, it’s worth a try, maybe that’ll work for you too 😉
